The Kekanovich Creation Story
 
In the beginning, Kekanovich first burst onto the Canadian Music Scene in 1988 as a music-dj in Timmins ON, playing high school dances, weddings and nightclubs.  Moving from the North to the South, Kekanovich earned the reputation of building successful themed nightclub events in Toronto ON at RPM, OZ the nightclub, Limelight, Whiskey Saigon and the Empire Dance Bar.  Additionally, Kekanovich co-created special events at the CN Tower, the Ontario Science Centre, and the Shell Aerocentre while also playing popular music for weddings and corporate Christmas parties.

Next, Kekanovich coordinated groundbreaking print, radio, TV and guerrilla marketing promotions for Sony, Island, Twentieth Century Fox and Universal as per recommendations.

Continuing his move into marketing, Kekanovich commanded tradeshow exhibits and brand environments for DuPont, Eli Lilly, GE, Michelin, Nautica, Sony Ericsson and Visa.  In 2004, James co-created an award winning experiential marketing program for Sony Ericsson (“Sony Ericsson Rocks Cross Canada Tour”) ; in 2008, an award winning speciality store brand environment for Michelin (“Michelin on Main”) ; in 2009, an award winning tradeshow exhibit for Trojan UV technologies (“Splash”).  Kindly reference recommendations to discover the Kekanovich's knowledge of business to consumer and the business to business markets.

Expanding his knowledge and graduating from the Teaching & Training Adults program, James understood that the classroom provided an excellent environment to create “learning events.” As a part time Professor at Durham College in the Music Business Management Program, he has taught “Promotions & Publicity”, “Entertainment Marketing” and “The History of Popular Music”. Also in 2010, James was commissioned to write two new “General Education” courses for Durham College: “The Brand Experience” and “Adventures in Ideas” to share his success with students.
